Toyota Includes Five Door Yaris for 2009
Responding surely to the successes of cars like the Honda Fit, Toyota is including a five door version of its Yaris for 2009. Occupying roughly the same space as a three door Yaris, the five door will increase passenger and cargo capacity, and make the whole operation more convenient. Engine and transmission choices are expected to match current Yaris models.
The 2009 Yaris models will also have available side curtain airbags in front and rear and cruise control. Yaris models with the Sport package will be equipped with new exterior and interior trim.
Neither pricing nor official U.S. photos (European spec model above) have been released for the five door Yaris.
